Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment. This position involves oversees managing maintenance projects, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to effectively manage maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance management strategies to enhance preventative maintenance, equipment reliability and performance.
- Maintain proper operation of all building equipment.
- Performs routine maintenance and repair of the facility and equipment to include plumbing, electrical, mechanical and carpentry, etc. as directed, in accordance with established maintenance policies/procedures.
- Participate in maintenance training programs and initiatives as suggested by management.
- Repair, maintain, and install appliances as needed
- Comply with all safety and environmental procedures, including hazardous control-lockout/tagout, PPE, hot work, etc.
- Review and interpret schematics for troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems.
- Fabricate parts or components as necessary to support maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and coordinate repairs promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and compliance documentation.
- Maintain and order/pickup supplies and parts as authorized.
Requirements
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with schematics and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
- Experience in maintenance management practices and methodologies.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
